If you are interested in water activities then Bunbury can offer it all. Grab a catch of fish or crabs whilst taking in a stunning sunset. Bring your boat with the whole family and enjoy our ski and boating areas.  If you are keen to snorkel or dive Bunbury can offer magnificent views from the Lena Dive Wreck, which is only a few miles off shore.

Walk Bunbury's "walk it Bunbury" trails whilst enjoying the surrounding of the Mangroves, Maidens Tuart forest and the Big Swamp Reserve.  Enquire at the Bunbury Visitor Centre for a free copy of the Eco Walks in and around Bunbury.  Trails vary in length from 1 kilometre to 18 kilometres.  If you visit in September through to November you can also see a variety of wildflowers throughout the Bunbury region.

Bunbury has so much to offer within only minutes from the city. Enjoy a self drive tour through the Ferguson Valley, Boyanup Regions or Harvey . You will experience the views from the rolling hills in Ferguson Valley, taste cheese in Harvey and take in the history of Collie.

Bunbury hosts many and varied Events through out the year including Racing Carnaval and International Jazz Festival.  Musicals, Drama, Australian and International Acts, Eisteddfod, Carnivals, Film Festivals, Wine and Food Festival all feature on the City's Events Calender

Outdoor Activities

If outdoor activities is more your style you'll find a huge range of things to do. There are plenty of forests areas ideal for mountain bike riding and trekking. Abseiling tours are provided on the quarry face of the Wellington Dam. Take to the air and fly over Bunbury on a scenic or ultra flight tour. If you are a lover of the water, there are plenty of aqua-based activities to participate in. Bunbury's surrounding oceans, inland dams and rivers are great for sea kayaking, canoeing, snorkelling, water skiing, sailing, windsurfing, and rafting. For diver enthusiasts the Lena Dive Wreck offers a fascinating diving experience for the beginner to experienced diver.

 

If you're seeking an action-packed getaway, Bunbury offers you a range of sporting and adventure activities, on land and on water. Play a round of golf – choose from The Sanctuary, Clifton Park and Capel Golf Courses. Enjoy the exhilaration of the speedway and motor sports. Basketball and Aussie rules football feature regularly on the sporting calendar. Go to the races and watch Thoroughbred and harness racing. The highlight of the racing season, The Bunbury Cup, held in March each year. Hay Park sporting complex is the second largest sporting complex in Australia, second to Sydney’s Homebush. The pinnacle of the complex is the Sports Centre featuring an Olympic sized swimming pool, 25m lap pool, spa, sauna, leisure pool area and fully equipped gymnasium and aerobics facilities.
